Spectrum Premier Pleat Depth Polypropylene Particle Retention Efficiency

The PPDP range is a product development on the popular SPECTRUM Premier Pleat. Designed to combine the science of depth filtration within a pleat format, this increase in layered media and cartridge construction allows for a higher dirt holding capacity over standard pleated cartridges. The PPDP is ideal for applications targeting a wider range of particulate size and those of a softer, more gelatinous form.
 

Many applications benefit from using the high efficiency, large surface area, low pressure drop and inert properties of the WRAS approved Premier Pleat Polypropylene cartridge. Four pleated media layers combine to construct a pleat pack with depth characteristics and the main filtration media layer delivers high efficiency and exacting micron classification. An improved cage construction for 2018 delivers excellent flow dynamics and is designed to protect the integral pleat pack whilst providing overall rigidity and strength to the cartridge.
 

 

The most popular wound cartridge media by far, the SPECTRUM wound polypropylene offers broad chemical compatibility and good temperature resistance at low cost. With over 50 years proven experience and in a variety of micron sizes, across standard and large diameters, the SWP provides a basic filtration solution perfectly suited for first-stage and general particulate reduction. Whilst newer spun technologies offer higher efficiency and longer life cartridges, wounds still exceed filtration standards in many applications.

Manufactured using German engineered and produced high quality polyethersulfone media, the PRISM Max grade pleat provides assured and certified absolute bacteria retention characteristics. Lot coded and 100% individually tested, the high surface area media contains no adhesives or binders, with low extractable content offering consistent final product quality. Meeting industry standard requirements, the cartridges are FDA Title 21 Compliant and meet USP Class VI-121 DegC Plastics.

For applications with a higher operating temperature or where polypropylene is incompatible with the feed solution, the DWCO cartridge provides graded particulate reduction and is supplied as standard with a stainless steel core for added strength. Due to the natural absorption properties of the cotton media, the DWCO exhibits the ability to remove and retain dispersed oil making it suitable for use in degreasing applications.

Contaminants such as chlorine, chloramine, herbicides, solvents, dyes are all treated along with the removal of organics through absorption. To satisfy the requirements of different water treatment applications, SPECTRUM 870 range includes 3 grades – Economic, Standard and Premier. Choosing the grade that is most suited to the application is influenced by the water source’s levels and types of pollutants combined with the desired purity and cartridge life.

Economic - Chlorine, chemical and organic taste, odour and appearance removal

The PRISM Max grade carbon block is specifically formulated for effective chloramine control and the only cartridge to offer this feature within the range. Having been manufactured within a five-stage process, this exceptional catalytic activated carbon cartridge offers up to 10 times the capacity of the Plus grade. Essential for use in public water supplies where chloramine has been added as the disinfecting agent of choice, the Max grade carbon block will typically be found within applications including aquatics and renal dialysis. Rated at one micron, pre-filtration from the PRISM spun range, such as the Plus grade DSPP at five micron, is recommended to maximise service life and prevent premature blocking.

This Liff Compatible MX1 Carbon Water Filter designed to filter out chlorine, bad taste & odour as well as removing organic chemicals & pesticides will fit the Liff NCP1, NP1 & NDL2 units as well as any 10in cartridge housing.

LIFF Compatible SW1 10" Sediment Water Filter Cartridge
This LIFF compatible SW1 is a 10" Wound Polypropylene Sediment Cartridge used to remove sediment down to 1 microns and is compatible with NP1, NDL2 and NCP1 housing as well as using as one of the filters in NP2 housing. It will also fit in most standard 10" housings.

LIFF NSW5 Compatible 10" Spun Sediment 5 Micron Water Cartridge

The LIFF NSW5 or SW5 as it also referred to is a 10" Spun Polypropylene Sediment Cartridge used to remove sediment up to 5 microns and is compatible with NP1, NP2, NDL2 and NCP1 housing. It will also fit in most standard 10" housings.

Nitrate often reaches surface and groundwater by runoff from agricultural activities, such as usage in fertiliser. MRNI cartridges can reduce toxic nitrate levels below WHO limits of 50mg/L, exchanging harmful nitrates for chloride ions.

 

Pentair Pentek ChlorPlus carbon block cartridges help reduce sediment while providing greater chloramine performance capacities than granular carbon. They also significantly reduce the carbon fines found in many granular canisters.

A specialised cartridge for electroplating applications, the C-155 represents the best possible technology available for the marketplace. The bonded PAC used in the Fibredyne C-155 excels in removing organics and particulate and ensures sulphur is not leached into the plating bath, along with a post filtration layer preventing carbon fines after initial flushing. The C-155 prevents pitted deposits, haze, clouds and discolouration to provide a bright electroplating finish. Building on the same technology as the discontinued ELPC cartridge, the C-155 has a reduced diameter allowing simple retrofitting to a much wider range of standard housings within the finishing industry.

One of our top selling filters, the Pentek GAC-10 made by Pentair is a 10" Granular Activated Carbon filter for chlorine taste and odour reduction. The design, with flows from bottom to top ensures a long contact time, allowing for maximum adsorption and treatment. Using a clean, acidwashed bituminous carbon with a large mesh size, this granular range is primarily a chlorine, taste and odour reduction cartridge with the advantage of a coarse 20 micron pre and post-filter pad to retain carbon fines that is not susceptible to blockage if high particulate is present.

Pentair Pentek ECP Series Cartridges are manufactured from a special formulation of resin-impregnated cellulose and polyester fibers. This unique blend of materials provides a higher wet strength than regular cellulose cartridges. It also provides high flow rates and dirtholding capacity while maintaining extremely low pressure drop.

Pentair Pentek S1 Series Cartridges are manufactured from a pleated cellulose media and are designed for general water filtration purposes.
