This media has allowed for speciality solutions, starting with the SPECTRUM EFBC - a cartridge focused on providing an economic, practical solution to chlorine, taste, and odour (CTO) removal. This build provides all the benefits of activated carbon with a minimum pressure drop commonly associated with a carbon block, promoting extended CTO reduction. An antimicrobial agent is applied to allow the full chlorine capacity to be used over long time spans, giving the economic name its true meaning.

Delivering high efficiency filtration, the mono layer media of the Pleat2 delivers economical filtration with high surface area and high flow potential, whilst maintaining a low pressure drop. Vinyl plastisol end-caps eliminate the need for gaskets and maintain the integrity of the pleat pack, further supported by the tough inner polypropylene core. Four pleated media layers combine to construct a pleat pack with depth characteristics and the main filtration media layer delivers high efficiency and exacting micron classification. An improved cage construction for 2018 delivers excellent flow dynamics and is designed to protect the integral pleat pack whilst providing overall rigidity and strength to the cartridge.
