Water treatment processes:

Ion exchange – Attracts the targeted elements and releases selected ions into the water stream e.g. softening, nitrate removal, de-ionisation.

Catalysis – Reacts with the targeted elements to change their physical properties e.g. treatment of dissolved iron to precipitate from solution.

Dosing – Slowly dissolves into the filtrate to continually feed the required treatment

Delivering the highest levels of chloramine removal with low pressure drops, the distinctive Spectrum PCB range is the new industry favourite for targeting chloramines.

The SPECTRUM PCB is specifically formulated for effective chloramine control and the only cartridge to offer this feature within the range.  Having been manufactured within a five-stage process, this exceptional catalytic activated carbon cartridge offers up to 10 times the capacity of the SCB.  Essential for use in public water supplies where chloramine has been added as the disinfecting agent of choice, the PCB will typically be found within applications including aquatics and renal dialysis.  Rated at one micron, pre-filtration from the SPECTRUM TruDepth range, such as the PSP at five micron, is recommended to maximise service life and prevent premature blocking.

Granular Carbon:

Targeting chloramines for over 250,000 litres, the CRFC-20BB radial flow design offers the benefits of granular activated carbon, whilst at the same time significantly reducing the release of carbon fines commonly associated with other granular carbon designs.

Carbon Block:

The ChlorPlus in its block configuration, reduces chloramine levels to below the guideline 0.1 ppm from a 1 ppm feed for over 26,000 litres in its standard 10" configuration. As a pre-filter in renal applications, these cartridges are the perfect choice for extending membrane life, primarily due to the absence of carbon fines, which are a common by-product of granular carbons.

EWS units incorporate Crystalite, an advanced Template Assisted Crystallisation (TAC) media. Crystalite media provides the first effective chemical-free scale prevention method. It converts hardness causing minerals, through a catalytic reaction, into non scaling crystals (known as soft scale), which are formed on the resin surface and then released in to water. It is highly efficient, saves money and water as no regeneration is required. Supplied with Copper Guard to protect the media from heavy metals, such as copper and iron.

The SRSO effectively reduces calcium and magnesium hardness levels in feed water, preventing scaling that causes premature failure and increased energy costs in equipment, such as small commercial boilers and steam ovens. Large capacity cartridges can be utilised to lower total hardness levels in closed loop systems to acceptable levels

Nitrates - Ion-X SRNI: 20" BB High Flow

Nitrate often reaches surface and groundwater by runoff from agricultural activities, such as usage in fertiliser. SRNI cartridges can reduce toxic nitrate levels below WHO limits of 50mg/L, exchanging harmful nitrates for chloride ions.

Slowly dissolving on contact with acidic water, the SRCA helps to reduce the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Producing pH neutral water, the SRCA ensures effective pH control for post RO permeate treatment, private water supplies and general remineralisation.
