The SRSO effectively reduces calcium and magnesium hardness levels in feed water, preventing scaling that causes premature failure and increased energy costs in equipment, such as small commercial boilers and steam ovens. Large capacity cartridges can be utilised to lower total hardness levels in closed loop systems to acceptable levels

The SPECTRUM Standard Filter Housing Large diameter is engineered to provide maximum flow capacity in the Standard Plastic Housing range, achieving rates up to 90 lpm. These housings offer a high-value alternative to multi-round stainless steel options, delivering robust performance at a fraction of the cost. With durable 1" ports and a convenient pressure release button, they ensure ease of use and compatability with standard inline pipework. Available with a choice of clear or black sumps, these large diameter housings are designed to meet the demands of high-flow filtration applications with both flexibilty and reliabilty.

Sealant Compatibility: For SFH-LD, only use ABS-compatible O-rings, PTFE thread tape, silicone-based lubricants, and approved non-solvent sealants. Do not use plasticiser-containing compounds, solvent-based adhesives, or incompatible chemicals, as these may cause stress cracking and premature failure of ABS components.

 

Developed as the direct replacement to the Pentair C1, the SPECTRUM SCW is adept at removing high levels of sediment and contaminants. Employing traditional carbon wrap technology to reduce odours, remove chlorine, water pigmentation and other volatile organic compounds, the SCW combines the advantages of a high-dirt loading depth cartridge and adsorption capabilities of granular activated carbon; an ideal combination to treat drinking water. 

The SPECTRUM PCB is specifically formulated for effective chloramine control and the only cartridge to offer this feature within the range. Having been manufactured within a five-stage process, this exceptional catalytic activated carbon cartridge offers up to 10 times the capacity of the SCB. Essential for use in public water supplies where chloramine has been added as the disinfecting agent of choice, the PCB will typically be found within applications including aquatics and renal dialysis. Rated at one micron, pre-filtration from the SPECTRUM TruDepth range, such as the PSP at five micron, is recommended to maximise service life and prevent premature blocking.

IDelivering excellent selectivity of heavy metals including zinc, mercury and copper from potable water supplies, the SHRM also provides water softening properties without the sodium dosing usually found with exclusive softening cartridges. The SRHM can be combined with other filtration and treatment products for a comprehensive solution.

 

Slowly dissolving on contact with acidic water, the SRCA helps to reduce the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Producing pH neutral water, the SRCA ensures effective pH control for post RO permeate treatment, private water supplies and general remineralisation.

SPECTRUM TruDepth Antimicrobial Spun Filter

Inhibiting the growth of trapped bacteria and microbes within the filter, the specialist antimicrobial spun depth cartridge prevents premature blocking from biofilm, the occurrence of unpleasant smells and the potential of unsightly water stains by utilising silver ions with antimicrobial properties.

Primarily used in private water supplies such as boreholes and well water, the AMS is also an excellent safe guard for more critical pre-filtration applications such a pre-UV treatment.

With higher efficiency and a longer service life than both the Economic and Standard spun, the PSP is the most versatile and adept cartridge in the TruDepth range. The deep grooved construction significantly increases the surface area, maximising the dirt holding capacity of the cartridge whilst the integral support core increases pressure and temperature operating conditions. Available with a range of end-caps for added seal security and operator ease for fitting in multi-round housings.

The most popular wound cartridge media by far, the SPECTRUM wound polypropylene offers broad chemical compatibility and good temperature resistance at low cost. With over 50 years proven experience and in a variety of micron sizes, across standard and large diameters, the SWP provides a basic filtration solution perfectly suited for first-stage and general particulate reduction. Whilst newer spun technologies offer higher efficiency and longer life cartridges, wounds still exceed filtration standards in many applications.
