The MAZ 10 20 inch filter cartridges are designed to provide an easy and effective method for reducing dissolved iron from water that results in an improvement of water taste. These cartridges are helping to eliminate the orange and brown stains that are often found in sinks, toilets, tubs and other plumbing fixtures. It also reduces the possible damage to pipes and water heaters.

Completely suited to drinking water applications, the MAZ cartridges should be installed on the main cold water line after the pressure tank or water meter. For best results, pre-sediment and post carbon treatment is recommended. As water flows through the cartridge the MAZ causes the iron to oxidize and drop out of the flow, holding it within its matrix to ensure no harmful chemicals are added to the water.

• Water treatment processes:

Ion exchange – Attracts the targeted elements and releases selected ions into the water stream e.g. softening, nitrate removal, de-ionisation.

Catalysis – Reacts with the targeted elements to change their physical properties e.g. treatment of dissolved iron to precipitate from solution.
