Aqua-Juraperle is a granular filtration medium with a purity of 99.1% calcium carbonate. Because of its micro-crystalline structure, it is superior to ordinary limestone. Raise of pH, as free CO2 is converted to bicarbonate and calcium is dissolved respectively. Aqua-Jurarperle also functions as an excellent filter for sediment particles.

The calcium carbonate granulates are consumed in function of free CO2-level. New Aqua-Juraperle must be added from time to time (e.g. once a year).

Corosex is a highly reactive magnesium oxide, specially processed to treat a low pH by neutralizing the free carbon dioxide in water therefore render it less corrosive . Corosex will slowly dissolve and will need to be replenished from time to time. To be used in continuous flow systems.

Under certain hardness conditions, pH correction can cause hardness minerals to precipitate out of solution, resulting in cementing or solidification of the Corosex mineral bed. Upflow service is generally recommended with hardness exceeding five grains per gallon. (Always use an in-line filter ahead of an upflow system to prevent plugging of the lower distribution screen.)

As Corosex's magnesium oxide neutralizes the water, it will increase hardness and a softener may become necessary after the neutralizing filter. Corosex can be effectively combined with  Calcite to combine the high flow neutralization properties of Corosex, along with the slower reacting low flow properties of Calcite, reducing potentially high basic properties due to overcorrection.

Additional information
Corosex is a stronger mineral than Juraperle. It will boosts the pH higher.

  • For low PH of <7
  • Raises PH levels and prevents acidic water corroding copper pipes
  • Suitable for Water Potable Applications
  • Best used as a 25/75 blend with Jurapearle

Calcite is a crushed and screened white marble media which can inexpensively be used to neutralize acidic or low pH waters to a neutral, less corrosive effluent.

Calcite is a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media. One of the advantages of Calcite is its self-limiting property. When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not overcorrect under normal conditions. Upon contact with Calcite, acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate to raise the pH which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Periodic backwashing will prevent packing, reclassify the bed and maintain high service rates.

Depending on pH, water chemistry and service flow, the Calcite bed will have to be periodically replenished as the Calcite is depleted. As the Calcite’s calcium carbonate neutralizes the water, it will increase hardness and a softener may become necessary after the neutralizing filter. Calcite can be effectively combined with Clack Corosex to combine the high flow neutralization properties of Corosex, along with the slower reacting low flow properties of Calcite, increasing the ability to correct low pH.

Our calcium carbonate (calcite) has been tested and certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standard #60 and is safe for use in drinking water.

The PRISM MRHM is a high purity, high capacity, weak acid, cation exchange resin developed for the treatment of potable water. With excellent selectivity for heavy metals and the uptake of alkaline earth metals in a relatively short contact time, the MRHM's removal capabilities also extends to toxic metals, making the resin suitable for the treatment of certain wastewater applications. Typically used in pressure vessels or empty catridge shells for smaller applications, this resin is not designed for regeneration but has the advantage of softening capabilities achieved without sodium dosing.

Nuclear grade mixed-bed DI resins are used for the production of ultra-pure water, ensuring that the water treated is of the highest purity possible.

Manufactured from strong-base type 1 anion and strong-base acid cation mix, the NRW3240 (formerly NRW37) resin ensures that the water processed is of highest quality 18.3 megohm resistivity, or 0.055 microSiemens/cm conductivity.

The high-resistivity water produced by NRW3240 is suitable for many high-end applications and industries, which include: ultra-pure water production, radiation wastewater treatment, manufacture and purification of pharmaceutical products, semiconductors and condensate polishing. This nuclear-grade resin is processed under the most exacting specifications, being specially purified with high percent conversions to their regenerated form and closely controlled particle sizes.

Additional information

All of Purolite’s nuclear grade products have over 95% whole perfect beads, which creates a product with low differential pressure drops, increased stability that is less likely to breakdown, delivering consistent product performance.

The PCC series cartridges contain food-grade hexametaphosphate, which prevents scale and rust build-up.

This type of treatment is recommended for use with ice machines, coffee and vending machines, food service equipment, water heaters, air conditioning systems and many other types of water processing equipment.

To best meet your needs, cartridges are available in three feeder sizes and all materials are FDA grade. Highly effective at treating scale, corrosion and iron problems, these cartridges last for up to six months at various flow rates and feed concentrations.

The PCC-106 is an insert element that is placed in the center core of the cartridge. It is designed for use with standard 10" and 20" radial flow, sediment and carbon block filter cartridges. For a carbon and phosphate combined cartridge see TS-GAC's.

Scale
Hardness particles are kept separated so they cannot precipitate and form deposits when heated.

Corrosion
A protective coating is formed on all metal surfaces, safeguarding against acidity/alkalinity, hardness, chloride and other factors which affect the corrosion of water equipment and pipes; pH range 6.5-9.0

Iron
Dissolved iron, up to 1 ppm, is kept suspended in solution (sequestered), preventing dissolved iron from precipitating, which would cause staining and discoloration.

Key Product Features

•Hardness forming ions are kept separated so they cannot precipitate and form deposits when heated

•A protective coating is formed on all metal surfaces, protecting against acidity/alkalinity, hardness, chloride turbulence and other factors that affect the corrosion, which leads to ‘rusting out’ of water equipment and pipes.

•Dissolved iron, up to 1 ppm, is kept suspended in solution (sequestered), decreasing exposure to air and preventing precipitation, which would cause staining, discolouration and undesirable flavour

Softening Resin:

The CGS is ideally suited for the treatment of foodstuffs, beverages and food processing applications. Its high bead integrity, excellent chemical and physical stability and very low extractable content make this resin ideal for use in sensitive/critical applications.

The CGS from SPECTRUM is a high capacity, gel type sulfonated polystyrene cation resin supplied in the sodium form as moist, tough, uniform spherical beads, which removes hardness ions (calcium and magnesium) in exchange for sodium ions. Being a gel type helps add extra capacity and strength to the resin.

Additional information

Easy to handle, ship and store, the SPECTRUM CGS resin comes individually packaged in heavy duty, durable double walled SPECTRUM boxes.
